Last year Google Docs introduced the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) that converts uploaded images into editable text. The feature just gets better with the announcement made by Google that Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is currently supporting an additional of 29 character sets. This brings number to 34 of supported languages. This feature works best when you can supply high resolutions PDFs and images. Google is planning of adding support for more languages and increase the accuracy as well as speed. [via]     |

It is rumored that Apple is working on new gesture based lock screen for iOS devices. According to 9to5mac, this new feature is being tested internally. Some of you may notice this feature (which doesn't require a password), had already been implemented on Android based phones where you need to match a specific pattern to unlock your device. Because Google has probably patents on this feature, Apple is not going to release this android like gesture based lock screen for customers but we heard that it may be incorporated in the upcoming iOS 5 (of course after some changes here and there).
