Redsn0w 0.9.6 RC 14 released to untethered Jailbreak 4.3.2 iOS

As we already know, the untethered exploit for iOS 4.3.2 was not in good shape and need to fixed before it can be applied on iOS 4.3.2. So, iPhone Dev team comes up with the latest fix and get it updated on Redsn0w 0.9.6rc14.

According to iPhone Dev Team:

"Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didn't have a chance to fix the hole used by @i0n1c's untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2's kernel. Today's redsn0w has been updated to include it."

The 4.3.2 untethered works on all devices that actually support 4.3.2 except for the iPad 2:

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPod touch 3G
  • iPhone4 (GSM)
  • iPad 1
  • iPod touch 4G

To ultrasn0w unlockers, please stay away from redsn0w and only update their firmware through a custom IPSW, otherwise you might not be able to unlock your iPhone. The new version of PwnageTool is expected to be available on this week or the next.

On the same note, many people are having problem to update their iDevices to 4.3.2 through saurik's server. If you want to restore directly to Apple's servers you need to remove the gs.apple.com entry in your hosts file.
