Windows is full of new things and tools. In the most recent Windows 8 build 7850, a new Disk Cleanup tool is found in the system32. This new tool does not only remove the temporary files but also other files like music, picture and video from a specific disk. The user interface is different from the one that you encountered in Windows 7. The tool can easily be accessed just by right clicking on a particular drive (by selecting properties > disk clean up).
