How to add background in Microsoft Excel 2010

When doing a formal or official presentation using Microsoft Excel 2010, it looks much better if we could somehow make a "connection" between the audience and the presentation. Having background image (company logo for example) that is related to the presentation makes it looks truly professional and raises the attention of the audiences. Please note, the background is only visible for presentation and it will not show up when it is printed or saved as a web page, so you don't have to be worried about the readability of the printed worksheets.

1. Select the Page Layout tab and click on the background button.

2. Select the background of your choice.

3. Now you can see the image as a background in Excel. You can turn off the grid view for better clarity (the grid view is on the right side of the background button)

4. Deleting the background is simple. Just hit back the same button you use to add background (it's a delete background button now).

Microsoft Office 2010 SP1 Beta Leaked on the Net

Not long after Microsoft released Office 2010 SP1 Beta (build number 14.0.6011.1000) to select group of beta tester, both x86 and x64 versions of SP1 have been leaked to the internet. It was initially available through Microsoft Connect page but it's now spreading on the net via torrent sites. The select beta tester group was selected by Microsoft on invitation basis.

The Microsoft Office 2010 SP1 beta contains updates for security, system reliability, program compatibility and many more. There is no detail information available on the specific improvements included for the time being. The Office SP1 Beta is 294.93 MB (SP1 x86) and 361.25 MB in size (SP1 x64). It's advisable not get hasty and not to download from other sources than official source because the public beta is coming very soon.
