How to Backup Data to Amazon Cloud Drive

Amazon Cloud Drive is free web storage service by Amazon which allow customers and user to store up to 5 gigabytes of storage in the servers maintained by Amazon. This service application is free for all user all around the world with additional storage space is available for upgrade with additional cost.


How to back up Files to Amazon Cloud Drives

1. Sign Up for the service at Amazon Cloud Drive. Upload a file using the Amazon Cloud Drive page to enable your account with permission for user agreement and upload policy that appear when the first file is uploaded.

Get the application for upload for your desktop at gladinet and install.

2. Mount Amazon Cloud Drives as virtual memory.

3. My Gladinet Drive (Z) will appear as you drives in your Windows Explorer.

4. There are multiple ways to upload your files to the Amazon Cloud Drives


4.1 Drag & Drop:

4.1 a) Dialog box will appear as you drag and drop your file  which let you to enable the backup to be automatically update if there is change to the back up file.


4.2 Management Console:


4.2 a) Mirrored and snapshot backup can be created via management console.

4.2 b) Mirrored backup is a direct backup to Amazon Cloud Drives of your local folder in your drives. Whenever you delete the folder, the back up folder in Amazon Cloud Drive will no be delete as well. This option can also be changed in the option available.

4.2 c) Snapshot backup is a full backup of your drives that will be updated periodically which of you choose.

5. First select the folder you want to back up.

6. Next select the back up location. In this case it's Amazon Cloud Drive.

7. Select schedule for the back up

8. Review and confirm the backup process.

9. Uploading the backup files will take place after that.
