SMS chat with your Facebook friends on Yahoo! Messenger

Windows Live Messenger (WLM) recently added a feature where you can chat with your friends from Facebook friends inside the Windows Live Messenger itself. Now Yahoo! Messenger had followed suit by introducing the same feature in its latest beta version.

With this feature is in place, you can receive from and send to your Facebook friends in real-time through SMS. Here's how you can set it up on your mobile device.

When you are logged in from your Yahoo Messenger in your desktop, you will be automatically logged into your mobile phone. So you won't miss any messages from your Facebook friends because it will forwarded your SMS inbox. You can even reply to their messages through your mobile phone.

Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 to be released on April 6

It's officially confirmed that Angry Birds will be available on Windows Phone 7 on April 6th 2011. Microsoft also announced the new lineup of games for Windows Phone 7 which includes

  • Doodle Jump
  • Hydro Thunder Go
  • Plants vs Zombies
  • geoDefense
  • Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I

The announcement made by Microsoft confirmed that Windows Phone 7 is shifting to the mainstream. Angry Birds application is currently available in most platforms with Google's Android OS is the latest platform to join in.

12 new file formats in the Google Docs Viewer

The Google Docs Viewer is really a useful tool by Google where you can quickly PDF files, Power Point presentation and Microsoft Word document online without even downloading it first. This feature protects you PC from malicious threats that could get through the downloading files and it also helps hard drive neat without unwanted files. Recently, Google Docs Viewer has expanded the formats that it can support.

Here is the list of the 12 new files types:

  • Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
  • Apple Pages (.PAGES)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
  • Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
  • Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
  • Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
  • TrueType (.TTF)
  • PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
  • XML Paper Specification (.XPS)

In Gmail, the supported types of attachments will now show a "View" link. A click on it will bring up the Google Docs Viewer.

iPad 2 to be unveiled on March 2

We have heard so much rumors circling the internet community but it's only today Apple confirmed that the second generation of iPad 2 is going to be unveiled this March 2. With the important event is drawing near, Apple has issued special invitation to the selected members.

Just to fuel the excitement while waiting for the day to come, a close source to Apple said that a preview version of iOS 5 will also be unveiled in the event.
