The GoFlex external drives are purposely built to perfectly work with Mac OS X for easy sharing and backup. Even though it is specially designed for Mac OS X and Time Machine, it will work wonderfully on Microsoft Windows platform with the help of HFS+ driver for Windows. GoFlex external hard disk for Mac is equipped with USB 2.0 adapters and FireWire® 800 but also has the flexibility to change the interface to USB 3.0 or eSATA. The classy design features a soft-touch,durable metallic finish that's meant to prevent fingerprints and scratches. The $199 GoFlex for Mac Limited Edition ultraportable drive comes with 1TB of storage space but is distinctly compact as compared to the GoFlex for Mac ultraportable drive. The GoFlex for Mac ultraportable drive that can accommodate 1TB and 1.5TB space is priced at $199 and $249 respectively. The GoFlex Pro for Mac is a 2.5-inch drive, 7200-rpm and is built for faster transfer. A 500 GB of GoFlex Pro costs you $149 while a 750GB hard drive costs $179. Last but not least is the GoFlex Desk for Mac drive that offer larger capacity of 2TB ($219) and 3TB ($279). It is a 3.5-inch external drive that is designed to sit perfectly either vertically or horizontally.
