Apple’s App Store hits 10 billion downloads

Back in July 10, 2008 there were only 500 apps existed in Apple's App store and the apps has grown to a staggering number of more than 400 000. What make this a sweet ride for Apple is the app store has finally hit the magic number of 10 billion downloads. Regardless of the possible updates and duplicates that might be included in this statistic, 10 billion is still an impressive number.

Hitting the 10th billion downloads also ended the lucky winner competition where the lucky winner will receive a $10,000 iTunes voucher for downloading the tenth Billion app. No announcement made by Apple as just yet.
