Apple to remove home button on iPhone 5 and iPad 2; iLife and Photo Booth coming?

According to BGR, the next generation of iPad and iPhone will have no more home button. Well, this makes perfect sense with the addition of multi touch gesture in the upcoming iOS 4.3.

That's not all, however. In addition to the home button disappearing from the iPad, we're told that this change will make its way over to the iPhone as well. Our source said Apple employees are already testing iPads and iPhones with no home buttons on the Apple campus, and it's possible we will see this new change materialize with the next-generation iPad and iPhone devices set to launch this year.

Additionally, we're told Apple's popular photo-taking application, Photo Booth, will be appearing on the next iPad. It's also very possible that we'll see iLife apps for iOS unveiled around the iPad 2 release as well.

Well it seems Steve Jobs dream of not having physical button on the iPhone will finally come true.

How to enable Aero (Aero Peek) in Windows 7

Aero Peek is a feature that makes Windows 7 graphically appealing and sleek but sometimes this great feature is turned off for some number of reasons. It can be due to not supported video driver found, your PC barely pass the minimum requirements or probably because Windows 7 does not enable the Aero Glass effect at all.

How to display Aero effects in Windows 7

1. Make sure that Windows Experience Index has been determined.
2. From the Start menu type in "aero" and click on "Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects" link.

3. A problem wizard windows will popup. Click on the Next button.

4. It will make a thorough check and at the end of process it will fix all related issues and will restart the aero feature. That's it and you should enjoy the Aero Peek feature.

iOS 4.3 Beta 1 new features

Apple distributed iOS 4.3 beta 1 couple of hours ago to developers who are enrolled in the iOS Dev Center program. So what's new features in iOS 4.3?

1. New Multi-touch Gestures to iPad

With iOS 4.3, multi-touch gestures is very much improved on the iPad. Gestures can be made by using 4 or 5 fingers so better control when swiping and pinching.

2. Personal Hotspot to all iPhones

iOS 4.3 introduces personal hotspot feature but it will work like tethering on AT&T but most likely with those data caps; no official word from AT&T as just yet though.

3. New Camera Effects

iOS 4.3 beta 1 will come with new effect for the camera app which include thermal camera, kaleidoscope, x-ray, normal, collapse, tunnel of light, enlarge and turbine.

4. New FaceTime Icon, Full Screen iAds

iOS 4.3 brings a groovy, new FaceTime icon.

AirPlay Video support is now available as an option for developers in the MPMoviePlayerController class. It is also available to web authors via the QuickTime Plug-In or media element

5. Brings Back Orientation Lock

This new setting allows you to choose for an orientation lock or the new mute switch.

Apple iOS 4.3 Beta 1 build 8F5148b distributed to developers

After Verizon iPhone 4 was officially announced recently, rumors about new iOS 4.3 started to gain momentum. But rumors do not float long enough this time around because Apple just distributed iOS 4.3 beta 1 which contains a lot of new features.

iOS 4.3 will bring new fresh air to most iDevices (iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G and Apple TV 2); unfortunately iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G won't enjoy any updates anymore. iOS 4.3 Beta is currently available for download in the iOS Developer Center.

How to disable auto sleep mode in Windows 7

Auto sleep is a great feature in Windows that can save electricity by minimizing power usage when your PC is in idle mode. Of course it's a great addition to Windows 7 but you need to adjust it accordingly to fit with your need otherwise it may work against you especially when need your PC not fall into sleep mode.

How to disable auto sleep mode

1. Type in "power" in the search box and select "power options"

2. Click on "Change plan settings".

3. Set the time accordingly. You can set to "Never" if you want to disable it completely.

4. Save changes made and that's it.
