Microsoft Mathematics add-in for OneNote and Word is a small yet useful set of applications that allows you to perform mathematical operations on equations and expressions easily. With this add-in, you can easily plot graphs in 3D and 2D, solve inequalities and equations, simplify algebraic expressions, differentiation, integration and calculate numerical results.

It has extensive collection of mathematical symbols and structures to make complicated equations and expressions easily represented in Word.

Features

  • Compute standard mathematical functions, such as roots and logarithms
  • Find derivatives and integrals, limits, and sums and products of series
  • Compute trigonometric functions, such as sine and cosine

Next iPad 2 and iPhone 5 will have a dual core graphics chip [Rumor]

Posted: 17 Jan 2011 06:24 AM PST

iPad 2 will be launched soon and iPhone 5 will follow suit. With the most popular tablet and smart phone will hit the market in 2011, rumors about both idevices are gaining momentum. The next generation of the iPad and iPhone are said to sport a new replacement for Apple's A4 chip with a dual-core graphics processing unit that will definitely allow higher resolutions on both iPad 2 and iPhone 5 and support for HD video playback (1080p).

The rumored chip in question is said to be a dual-core SGX543 GPU from Imagination Technologies that will most likely be coupled with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU. With both technologies work hand in hand it will turn iPad 2 into a powerhouse that's more than capable of playing HD video. This rumor is consistent with another rumor that claims the iPad 2 will have a much higher resolution screen than its predecessor.

As far as the iPhone 5 is concerned, recent buzz claimed that iPhone 5 will be totally redesigned and will be powered with a new multi-core CPU, Kinsus IC Substrate and a Qualcomm Baseband.

Download Firefox 4 Beta 9: What’s new in it?

Posted: 17 Jan 2011 05:11 AM PST

Mozilla has finally released last Friday of what's most likely to be the final test build of the next iteration of Firefox browser. With the final date is drawing near, only several new features are incorporated into Firefox 4.

One of the overhaul is on bookmarks and history code that is claimed to have improved in term of performance and speed. This latest build also has "per-compartment garbage collection" enabled to reduce work load when rendering complex animations

Even though it is coming to the final phase there are few bugs that are not yet properly addressed. The new tab sorting interface (Panorama) still have some glitches and need to be fixed. Among other problems that are gathered from user feedbacks are US video website Hulu.com is blocked in beta version and it is reported that Twitter is barely accessible especially when entering text on the website. Scrolling in Gmail window also appears a bit sluggish for some people.

A final Firefox 4 will come with additional hardware acceleration, JaegerMonkey Javascript engine extension and will also allow coders to build plug-in-free 3D graphics via WebGL.

Currently, Mozilla is working around the clock to reduce bugs to zero before coming up with the Release Candidate (RC) version of Firefox 4, which should arrive early February 2011.
